Round 5 Survey Winners Revised

Revised results

After an internal audit, we discovered an error in the reporting process for Round 5 Survey winners: while the winning forecasters remain the same, the reported values were incorrect. Many thanks to a sharp-eyed forecaster (@AlvaroDeMenard) who noticed lack of correlation between the Round 5 Surveys leaderboard and the reported value of awards.

We have since identified how this error took place, and we have implemented procedures to prevent this from happening again.

Round 5 Winners will be notified by email about the changes to their prize values. We apologize for this mistake.

  • For those forecasters whose incorrectly reported prize is greater than their actual prize, we are awarding either the reported prize or their actual prize + $50 (whichever is less).
  • For those forecasters whose reported prize is the same as the actual prize, there is no change in the value of the award.
  • For those forecasters whose incorrectly reported prize is less than their actual prize, we are awarding the full value of their actual prize.

Actual prizes are reported in the table below. The incorrectly reported prizes can be seen on this page.
